Three new postdoc positions in Biofuels and Biorefinery in 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) established a group for biomass and biorefinery in 2007. Three new postdoc positions have been established within this group to convert biomass to biofuels and chemicals.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The group is expected to develop an internationally recognized research program and to provide leadership in educational graduate programs in the areas of bioenergy and bio-based products. Possible topical areas of this group include thermo-chemical conversion processes, hydrothermal processes, green solvents (ionic liquids, supercritical fluids) for biorefining, nanocatalysts for biofuels, bio-diesel production processes, biological conversion processes, conversion of biomass to liquid, solid and gaseous fuels; separation of bioproducts; integration of biomass production\/conversion\/utilization concepts; and other relevant topics. The candidates are expected to have a background in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, bio-processing or a related field of engineering and chemistry with demonstrated credentials in research, scholarship, published papers, supervising students and writing proposals.<\/p>\n
