Dr. Chunfei Wu from\u00a0<\/a>Queen’s University Belfast visited our Lab\u00a0for an academic lecture<\/strong><\/p>\n

On August 14, 2023, as invited by Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>, Dr. Chunfei Wu from Queen’s University Belfast in UK visited our College of Engineering for an academic lecture. Dr. Wu had a close meeting with Prof. Fang. Both sides had an in-depth communication and exchange of views on research and student training.<\/span><\/p>\n

At 2:00 pm, Dr. Chunfei Wu gave a lecture entitled “Biomass gasification and integration with CO2<\/sub>\u00a0capture and utilization” for our teachers and students both online and offline. He briefly introduced his main research directions, including the conversion of renewable and waste resources into energy, fuels, and chemicals. Dr. Wu presented a new concept of integrating gasification with CO2<\/sub>\u00a0capture and utilization (IGCCU) to achieve zero CO2<\/sub>\u00a0emission by using CaO as an adsorbent and catalyst to convert CO2<\/sub>\u00a0to CaO g-1<\/sup>\u00a0lignin in biomass pyrolysis. This academic presentation is a great inspiration for the future development and direction of waste resource utilization and carbon-neutral policies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u4ed4\u7ec6\u542c\u8bb2Listen carefully<\/p>\n

After the presentation, Dr. Wu visited our laboratory guided by Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>. Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong> gave a detailed introduction about the main research directions, research progress, and various instruments of the laboratory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Chunfei Wu<\/span><\/strong>, a Reader at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Chemical Engineering Programme Lead at QUB, is a world-renowned expert in the field of resources, fuel, and chemicals. He is a Managing Editor of Biomass and Bioenergy and the Editor-in-Chief of Carbon Capture Science & Technology, a Gold Open Access journal published by Elsevier. He has published over 220 peer-reviewed journal papers with over 11000 citations (H index of 62) in the areas of catalytic thermo-chemical conversion of wastes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u82f1\u56fd\u8d1d\u5c14\u6cd5\u65af\u7279\u5973\u738b\u5927\u5b66\u5434\u6625\u98de\u535a\u58eb\u6765\u8bbf\u6211\u9662\u8fdb\u884c\u5b66\u672f\u62a5\u544a<\/strong><\/p>\n

2023\u5e748\u670814\u65e5\uff0c\u5e94\u65b9\u771f\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\u9080\u8bf7\uff0c\u82f1\u56fd\u8d1d\u5c14\u6cd5\u65af\u7279\u5973\u738b\u5927\u5b66\u5434\u6625\u98de\u535a\u58eb\u6765\u8bbf\u6211\u9662\uff0c\u5e76\u8fdb\u884c\u5b66\u672f\u6c47\u62a5\u3002\u5434\u535a\u58eb\u4e0e\u65b9\u6559\u6388\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u5bc6\u5207\u7684\u4f1a\u6664\u3002\u53cc\u65b9\u5728\u79d1\u7814\u548c\u5b66\u751f\u57f9\u517b\u65b9\u9762\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u6df1\u5165\u7684\u4ea4\u6d41\u548c\u610f\u89c1\u4ea4\u6362\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4e0b\u53482\u70b9\uff0c\u5434\u6625\u98de\u535a\u58eb\u4e3a\u6211\u9662\u5e08\u751f\u5728\u7ebf\u4e0a\u53ca\u7ebf\u4e0b\u540c\u65f6\u4f5c\u4e86\u9898\u4e3a\u201cBiomass gasification and integration with CO2<\/sub>\u00a0capture and utilization\u201d\u7684\u5b66\u672f\u62a5\u544a\u3002\u62a5\u544a\u8be6\u7ec6\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u5434\u535a\u58eb\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u53ef\u518d\u751f\u8d44\u6e90\u548c\u5e9f\u7269\u8d44\u6e90\u8f6c\u5316\u4e3a\u80fd\u6e90\u3001\u71c3\u6599\u548c\u5316\u5b66\u54c1\u65b9\u9762\u7b49\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u901a\u8fc7CaO\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5438\u9644\u5242\u548c\u50ac\u5316\u5242\u5b9e\u73b0\u751f\u7269\u8d28\u70ed\u89e3\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\u7684CO2<\/sub>\u8f6c\u5316\u4e3aCaO g-1<\/sup>\u6728\u8d28\u7d20\u3002\u7279\u522b\u63d0\u51fa\u4e86\u5c06\u6c14\u5316\u4e0e\u4e8c\u6c27\u5316\u78b3\u6355\u83b7\u548c\u5229\u7528\uff08IGCCU\uff09\u76f8\u7ed3\u5408\u6765\u5b9e\u73b0\u96f6CO2<\/sub>\u6392\u653e\u7684\u65b0\u6982\u5ff5\u3002\u672c\u6b21\u5b66\u672f\u62a5\u544a\u5bf9\u5e9f\u7269\u8d44\u6e90\u5229\u7528\u548c\u78b3\u4e2d\u548c\u653f\u7b56\u7684\u672a\u6765\u53d1\u5c55\u548c\u65b9\u5411\u5177\u6709\u91cd\u5927\u542f\u53d1\u610f\u4e49\u3002<\/p>\n

\u62a5\u544a\u7ed3\u675f\u540e\uff0c\u5434\u6625\u98de\u535a\u58eb\u5728\u65b9\u771f\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\u7684\u5e26\u9886\u4e0b\u53c2\u89c2\u4e86\u6211\u4eec\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\uff0c\u65b9\u771f\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\u4e3a\u5176\u8be6\u7ec6\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u76ee\u524d\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\u3001\u7814\u7a76\u8fdb\u5c55\u53ca\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u7684\u5404\u79cd\u4eea\u5668\u8bbe\u5907\u3002<\/p>\n
