On November 14, 2019, as invited by Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>, Prof. Charles Chunbao Xu from University of Western Ontario (UWO) in Canada and Dr. Yongsheng Zhang from Zhengzhou University visited our College of Engineering for the academic exchanges and research collaborations. Prof. Xu has a close collaboration with Prof. Fang<\/strong> for a long history in research and student exchanges.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, Prof. Xu gave a lecture to teachers and students on “Conversion of agricultural biomass into bio-based chemicals and materials”<\/strong>. He briefly introduced about UWO and its main research directions, including the works on biomass resources, sludge into bioenergy, biofuels and bio-based chemicals, and presented his Lab\u2019s main research topics and results in detail, particularly showed us how to produce economic viable materials and chemicals besides biofuels from biomass wastes. The academic lecture brings inspiration to the future development and directions of renewable energy and biomass resources utilizations.<\/p>\n

Questioning<\/p>\n

After the presentation, Prof. Xu and Dr. Zhang visited our laboratory guided by Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>. Prof. Fang<\/strong> gave a detailed introduction about the main research directions, research progress and various instruments of the laboratory.<\/p>\n

Professor Chunbao Xu<\/strong>, fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a tenured professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering at UWO in Canada, is a world-renown expert in the field of biomass refining. He is the Co-editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Chemical Reaction Engineering (IJCRE, an SCI Journal). In recent years, he has published nearly 200 papers in International academic journals with 7,700 cites and H index of 47.<\/p>\n

2019\u5e7411\u670814\u65e5\uff0c\u5e94\u65b9\u771f\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\u9080\u8bf7\uff0c\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u897f\u5b89\u5927\u7565\u5927\u5b66\u5f90\u6625\u5b9d\u6559\u6388\u548c\u90d1\u5dde\u5927\u5b66\u5f20\u6c38\u751f\u535a\u58eb\u4e00\u884c\u6765\u8bbf\u6211\u9662\uff0c\u8fdb\u884c\u5b66\u672f\u4ea4\u6d41\u4e0e\u79d1\u7814\u5408\u4f5c\u3002\u5f90\u6559\u6388\u4e0e\u65b9\u6559\u6388\u5728\u79d1\u7814\u548c\u5b66\u751f\u4ea4\u6d41\u65b9\u9762\u6709\u7740\u957f\u671f\u7684\u5bc6\u5207\u5408\u4f5c\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4e0b\u5348\uff0c\u5f90\u6625\u4fdd\u6559\u6388\u4e3a\u6211\u9662\u5e08\u751f\u4f5c\u4e86\u201cConversion of agricultural biomass into bio-based chemicals and materials\u201d\u7684\u4e13\u9898\u62a5\u544a\uff0c\u8be6\u7ec6\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u897f\u5b89\u5927\u7565\u5927\u5b66\u5386\u53f2\u548c\u4e3b\u8981\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u751f\u7269\u8d28\u3001\u6709\u673a\u56fa\u5e9f\u548c\u6c61\u6ce5\u8f6c\u5316\u4e3a\u751f\u7269\u80fd\u6e90\u3001\u751f\u7269\u71c3\u6599\u548c\u751f\u7269\u57fa\u5316\u5b66\u54c1\u7b49\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u7279\u522b\u5411\u6211\u4eec\u5c55\u793a\u4e86\u5982\u4f55\u5229\u7528\u519c\u4e1a\u751f\u7269\u8d28\u5e9f\u5f03\u7269\u751f\u4ea7\u751f\u7269\u71c3\u6599\u4ee5\u5916\u7684\u7ecf\u6d4e\u53ef\u884c\u7684\u6750\u6599\u548c\u5316\u5b66\u5236\u54c1\u3002\u672c\u6b21\u5b66\u672f\u8bb2\u5ea7\u5bf9\u53ef\u518d\u751f\u80fd\u6e90\u548c\u751f\u7269\u8d28\u8d44\u6e90\u5229\u7528\u7684\u672a\u6765\u53d1\u5c55\u548c\u65b9\u5411\u5177\u6709\u542f\u53d1\u610f\u4e49\u3002<\/p>\n

\u62a5\u544a\u7ed3\u675f\u540e\uff0c\u5f90\u6625\u4fdd\u6559\u6388\u4e00\u884c\u5728\u65b9\u771f\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\u7684\u5e26\u9886\u4e0b\u53c2\u89c2\u4e86\u6211\u4eec\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\uff0c\u65b9\u8001\u5e08<\/strong>\u4e3a\u5176\u8be6\u7ec6\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u76ee\u524d\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\u3001\u7814\u7a76\u8fdb\u5c55\u53ca\u5b9e\u9a8c\u5ba4\u7684\u5404\u79cd\u4eea\u5668\u8bbe\u5907\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5f90\u6625\u4fdd\u6559\u6388<\/strong>\uff0c\u73b0\u4e3a\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u5de5\u7a0b\u9662\u9662\u58eb\u3001\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u897f\u5b89\u5927\u7565\u5927\u5b66\u5316\u5de5\u7cfb\u7ec8\u8eab\u6559\u6388\uff0c\u751f\u7269\u8d28\u7cbe\u70bc\u9886\u57df\u7684\u4e16\u754c\u8457\u540d\u4e13\u5bb6\u3002\u62c5\u4efbSCI\u671f\u520a\u5316\u5b66\u53cd\u5e94\u5de5\u7a0b\u56fd\u9645\u671f\u520a\uff08IJCRE\uff09\u7684\u5171\u540c\u603b\u7f16\u8f91\u3002\u8fd1\u5e74\u6765\u5728\u5b66\u672f\u671f\u520a\u4e0a\u53d1\u8868\u8bba\u6587\u8fd1200\u7bc7\uff0c\u88ab\u5f15\u75287700\u4f59\u6b21\uff0cH\u56e0\u5b5047\u3002<\/p>\n
