Prof. Zhen Fang attended the 17th European Meeting in Supercritical Fluids and gave keynote speech<\/strong><\/p>\n

On April 8-11, 2019, in the blink of eyes,\u00a0Prof. Zhen FANG<\/strong>\u00a0returned to Spain after\u00a0 23 years, attended the 17th European Meeting in Supercritical Fluids (EMSF2019<\/strong>) and 7th European Meeting on High Pressure Technology in Ciudad Real (Spain)(https:\/\/eventos.uclm.es\/16387\/detail\/17-thsubindice-isasf-congress.html). He gave a keynote speech entitled \u201cHydrothermal Conversion of Renewable Resources and Wastes to Fuels\u201d to introduce properties of hydrothermal water, conversion of biomass, hydrolysis, SCWO, recycling of plastics and particle synthesis. He also chaired a section and helped to evaluate the best posters\u00a0\u00a0as the member of the selection committee for the CFS Jerry King Poster Award.<\/p>\n

European Meeting in Supercritical Fluids (EMSF<\/strong>) is a biannual conference, supported by a number of universities and companies all around Europe, with a strong participation and implantation in the scientific community worldwide. The meeting are an exciting and informative with high quality programs including plenary\/keynote lectures, invited talks, forums in a variety of topics, oral and poster presentations and many other social programs for over 250 participants from all around the world.\u00a0After dinner, the organizing committee organized a night long party and carnival. Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>\u00a0 was too tired and sleepy, so he went back to the hotel early to rest.<\/p>\n

On the afternoon of April 11, 2019, all representatives visited a nearby mine and village, where they visited local ancient streets and churches, watched a local drama and took a group photo. After the romantic comedy,\u00a0under the setting sun,\u00a0 coincidentally met\u00a0 junior high school students at the village square\u00a0celebrating their graduation and taking photos. They were full of confidence, carefree, and thoroughly enjoying the summer sunshine and the blissful moments of youth.<\/p>\n

On April 7, before the meeting,\u00a0Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>\u00a0(as associate editor of Journal of Supercritical Fluids) also attended editorial meeting presided over by Prof. Erdogan Kiran, Editor-in Chief to discuss the issues related to the Journal such as virtual special Issues, manuscript processing software and manuscript review.<\/p>\n
