However, they are easily to form soap with free fatty acids (FFAs) when low qualified oils with high acid value (AV) are used as raw materials, and two-step process composed of esterification and transesterification catalyzed over acidic and basic catalysts was developed. But, the process is too complex and costly. This work aims to directly produce biodiesel from oils with high acid value without any pretreatment using activated nanosized Mg-Al hydrotalcite.<br \/>\nMiss Yitong Wang (Master student), under the guidance of Professor Dr. Zhen Fang from Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (CAS), prepared Mg-Al hydrotalcite (HT-Ca) nanoparticles (&lt; 45 nm) by co-precipitation and hydrothermal activation with aqueous Ca(OH)<sub>2 <\/sub>solution. HT-Ca presented both acidic and basic due to the formation of Mg<sub>4<\/sub>Al<sub>2<\/sub>(OH)<sub>14<\/sub>.3H<sub>2<\/sub>O, Mg<sub>2<\/sub>Al(OH)<sub>7<\/sub> and AlO(OH) nanocrystals to esterify and transesterify oils with high AV. Under conditions of 5 wt% HT-Ca, 160 <sup>o<\/sup>C, 30\/1 methanol\/oil molar ratio and 4 h, 93.4% <em>Jatropha<\/em> biodiesel yield was obtained at AV of 6.3 mg KOH\/g with 4 cycles (biodiesel yield &gt; 86%). It was further found that it can resist FFAs, and biodiesel yield reached 92.9% from soybean oil with high AV of 12.1. HT-Ca catalyst showed a potential practical application for direct production of biodiesel from oils with high AV without pretreatment.<\/p>\n<p>The results are published in Bioresource Technology:<\/p>\n<p>YT Wang, Zhen Fang*, F Zhang, BJ Xue. One-step production of biodiesel from oils with high acid value by activated Mg\u2013Al hydrotalcite nanoparticles, Bioresource Technology, 193, 84\u201389 (2015).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u6d3b\u5316Mg-Al <\/strong><strong>\u6c34\u6ed1\u77f3\u7eb3\u7c73\u9897\u7c92\u7528\u4e8e\u4e00\u6b65\u6cd5\u50ac\u5316\u9ad8\u9178\u503c\u6cb9\u8102\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u7531\u4e8e\u4e2d\u56fd\u7684\u56fd\u60c5\u9650\u5236\uff0c\u7528\u4e8e\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u7684\u975e\u98df\u7528\u539f\u6599\u6cb9\u9178\u503c\u90fd\u6bd4\u8f83\u9ad8\u3002\u8fd9\u6837\uff0c\u78b1\u6027\u50ac\u5316\u5242\u5728\u4f4e\u6e29\uff08\u598250\u6444\u6c0f\u5ea6\uff09\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u5bb9\u6613\u53d1\u751f\u4e25\u91cd\u7684\u7682\u5316\u53cd\u5e94\u3002\u800c\u9178\u6027\u50ac\u5316\u5242\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u65f6\uff0c\u5c3d\u7ba1\u6ca1\u7682\u5316\u53cd\u5e94\uff0c\u4f46\u8981\u6c42\u8f83\u9ad8\u7684\u53cd\u5e94\u6e29\u5ea6\uff08\u5982220\u6444\u6c0f\u5ea6\uff09\uff0c\u5bf9\u8bbe\u5907\u7684\u8d28\u91cf\u8981\u6c42\u4e5f\u5f88\u9ad8\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u6613\u8150\u8680\u8bbe\u5907\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u672c\u7814\u7a76\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u5236\u5907\u540c\u65f6\u5177\u6709\u9178\u78b1\u6027\u7684\u50ac\u5316\u5242\u53ef\u4ee5\u4e00\u6b65\u6cd5\u76f4\u63a5\u50ac\u5316\u9ad8\u9178\u503c\u7684\u6cb9\u8102\u53d8\u6210\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u3002<br \/>\n\u4e2d\u56fd\u79d1\u5b66\u9662\u897f\u53cc\u7248\u7eb3\u70ed\u5e26\u690d\u7269\u56ed\u751f\u7269\u80fd\u6e90\u7ec4\uff0c\u7855\u58eb\u751f\u738b\u4e00\u540c\u5c0f\u59d0\u5728\u65b9\u771f\u7814\u7a76\u5458\u7684\u6307\u5bfc\u4e0b\uff0c\u6210\u529f\u5408\u6210\u4e86Mg-Al \u6c34\u6ed1\u77f3\u7eb3\u7c73\u9897\u7c92\uff0c\u5c06\u5176\u6d3b\u5316\u540e\u7528\u4e8e\u50ac\u5316\u9ad8\u9178\u503c\u7684\u5c0f\u6850\u5b50\u6cb9\u4ee5\u53ca\u9ad8\u9178\u503c\u7684\u6df7\u5408\u5927\u8c46\u6cb9\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u3002\u5b9e\u9a8c\u7ed3\u679c\u8868\u660e\uff1a\u8be5\u7eb3\u7c73\u9897\u7c92\u5177\u6709\u8f83\u597d\u7684\u6297\u9178\u6027\uff0c\u5728\u53cd\u5e94\u6e29\u5ea6160 <sup>o<\/sup>C, 5%\u50ac\u5316\u5242\u91cf\uff0c30\/1\u9187\u6cb9\u6469\u5c14\u6bd4\u548c4 h \u7684\u53cd\u5e94\u65f6\u95f4\u6761\u4ef6\u4e0b\uff0c\u50ac\u5316\u9178\u503c\u4e3a6.3\u7684\u5c0f\u6850\u5b50\u6cb9\uff0c\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u7684\u4ea7\u7387\u53ef\u4ee5\u8fbe\u523093.4%\uff0c\u5f53\u50ac\u5316\u9178\u503c\u4e3a12.1\u7684\u6df7\u5408\u5927\u8c46\u6cb9\u5236\u5907\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\uff0c\u4ea7\u7387\u53ef\u4ee5\u8fbe\u523092.9%\u3002\u8be5\u7eb3\u7c73\u9897\u7c92\u91cd\u590d\u4f7f\u7528\u56db\u6b21\uff0c\u751f\u7269\u67f4\u6cb9\u7684\u4ea7\u7387\u4f9d\u7136\u53ef\u4ee5\u8fbe\u523086%\u4ee5\u4e0a\u3002\u6d3b\u5316\u540e\u7684Mg-Al \u6c34\u6ed1\u77f3\u7eb3\u7c73\u9897\u7c92\u8868\u73b0\u51fa\u826f\u597d\u7684\u50ac\u5316\u6027\u80fd\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u76f8\u5173\u7814\u7a76\u6210\u679c\u53d1\u8868\u5728\u56fd\u9645\u8457\u540d\u80fd\u6e90\u671f\u520aBioresource Technology\u4e0a\uff1a<\/p>\n<p>YT Wang, Zhen Fang*, F Zhang, BJ Xue.
