Misses Huang, Chin and Fan passed their thesis defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

On May 15th, 2015, five experts from Kunming University of Science and Technology, Southwest Forestry University, Kunming Institute of Botany, CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, CAS heard the report and defense of Mei HUANG, a master student of biomass group supervized by\u00a0Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>\u00a0that was expected to be graduated in 2015. After discussion and secret ballot, five dissertation committee members all agreed the thesis and defense of Mei HUANG, and suggested the academic degree evaluation committee of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, CAS award to miss HUANG the master\u2019s degree in science, according to relevant regulations.<\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0Prof. Zhen Fang<\/strong>, in collaboration with Professor Sarani Zakaria and Dr.\u00a0CH Chia\u00a0from Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM; Bangi, Malaysia), supervised two doctoral students, Miss Siew Xian Chin and Miss Suet Pin Fan, who returned to Malaysia to defend their doctoral theses succesufully.<\/span><\/p>\n
